General Information
All Package are based for the Bride & Groom only.

Surcharges
Surcharges apply for all group functions and are above prices are subject to 10% tax & 15% of Services

Decoration
We have a wide range of decoration for all your group events. Buffet Dinners can be decorated with the theme in mind or from a casual dinner to a gala evening.

Security
Security officers can be arranged for private functions. Please contact your groups and convention manager for details and charges. The Grand Coco Bay is not responsible for items left unattended, lost or stolen.

Audio-visual equipment
We can arrange audiovisual equipment for your function. Audiovisual equipment is supplied by outside companies and charges do apply.

Bar service
There is a charge for private bar service. The hotel is subject to all laws concerning alcohol consumption and service, as mandated by the country and local municipality.

Labor / Staff
Due to Mexican labor laws, excess labor charges may apply during certain times of the year and on holidays. Please contact the groups and convention manager to confirm if your event falls within this time.

Private Group Events
All Private Group Events are subject to the above surcharges. For theme parties or buffet style dinners a minimum of 25 guests is required.

In General
Our Restauants a la carte do have restricted seatings and dinner reservations apply. Groups needing seating above 10 people will need to pre - select a menu and group surcharges may apply.

Documents
Legal Requirements for Marriage in Playa del Carmen, Mexico:
   • Passport (Mandatory to be able to be married in Mexico)
   • Tourist Card (Issued in customs upon arrival at Cancun Airport)
   • Must be in Mexico 4 Full Business Days prior to the Wedding Day (Saturday, Sunday and Mexican Public holidays not included).
   • Blood Test (mandatory for the Bride & Groom and by law this must be done in Mexico at the designated medical office).
   • A copy of the final Divorce Degree (if either of the party is divorced). In the event that the Bride is divorced and has kept the ex husband's last name, the marriage certificate will not indicate the parents names. If it is wished to have the parents names on the certificate it will be required to present a divorce degree in English and one translated into Spanish, both officially done so with Apostille seals
   • A copy of Certificate of death certificate (if either of the party is widowed)
   • 4 Witnesses are required: If the witness is a Mexican Citizen:
   • A photo I.D. is required

Non-Mexican witnesses require the following:
   • Passport (required to be to be a Witness),
   • Tourist Card given at Cancun Airport, Be in Mexico 3 Full Business Days prior the Wedding Day, (Saturday, Sunday and Mexican Public holidays not included). Should witnesses be staying at another hotel, they must be able to come to the property to sign the wedding form 3 Business days prior to the ceremony

Witnesses can be provided. A surcharge of $ 40 USD each one for this service will apply

Marriage in Mexico is valid in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom; however it remains your responsibility to reconfirm locally with your own country and State. The Marriage Certificate that you will receive is in Spanish.
Please contact your local Court House to inquire about not listed procedures to legalize and translate your Marriage Certificate. If you are traveling from another country then those listed above, please contact your Consulate regarding Mexican Marriages. These Laws and requirement are set by the Mexican Government and are subject to change at anytime with accordance of the laws of Mexico. Please contact directly our Groups Manager should you have any inquiries regarding the legal requirements.
