General Information
Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach and Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach are two new magnificient 5 star all inclusive hotels that form part of the Barcelo Maya Beach Resort complex. The newly expanded resort is spread across acres of lush tropical gardens and over two kilometers of white sandy beach. Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach, which features Colonial style guest rooms, was opened in December 2005. Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach, which features contemporary Mexican style guest rooms, was opened in January 2006. Stay in one and play at four! Guests enjoy free access to the sister hotels Barcelo Maya Beach & Barcelo Maya Caribe Beach. A popular wedding destination, the complex features an on site wedding chapel for Catholic ceremonies, located on the Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach side of the resort.

Documents
   • Groom & Bride : valid passports
   • 4 Witnesses : valid passports or picture ID's
   • Groom, Bride and Witnesses: Tourist Visa Cards, given at the airport in Cancun.
   • Groom & Bride: Blood Test (Name, Blood Type, Syphilis and HIV). The Blood Test must be done in Mexico from a specific Government Laboratory. An appointment will be booked at the Resort's Clinic. The payment is in cash direct in the Laboratory.

Notes:
   • Passports and birth certificate must have the same information.
   • Tourist visa must be filled out as the same on your passport
   • Blood test with HIV positive will be an impediment to get married.
   • If the bride is divorced and her passport has her ex husband last name and she wants to get married with her maiden name, it's necessary to bring the following documentation:
•Original Birth Certificate
•Apostille Seal Document that states that the bride has her maiden last name certified by the Secretary of State
•Translation of the Apostille Seal that will be done in Mexico (this seal must be sent to us one month before the wedding)
•Apostille Seal and Tourist Visa Card must be filled out according to the Birth Certificate
The City Hall will keep the Original Birth Certificates and Original Divorce Certificates, they won´t be returned.
   • The marriage will be legal in Mexico. In order to legalize the marriage in your country, we sent to you the Apostille seal in 3-4 months after wedding ceremony. Delivery has an extra charge.
   • Laws and requirements may change according to Mexican Law.
   • The wedding department will keep a copy of the marriage certificate.
