LOCATION
Grand Oasis Cancun is conveniently located in the center of the Hotel Zone of Cancún, directly on the beach, close to shopping, bars and restaurants, only 12 miles (25 min.) from the Cancun International Airport and 10 miles (20 min.) from Downtown Cancún, with its typical flavor Mexican including the many open air markets.

The following is required in order to celebrate a Civil wedding in Cancun, Mexico:
The Bride and Groom must arrive in Cancun at least THREE (3) working days (Saturday and Sunday does not count, also arrival day and wedding day does not count) prior to the wedding ceremony to meet with the wedding planner and submit all documents. Bride and Groom must be at the resort by check-in time (3:00 pm) or earlier to count as the arrival date.
Birth certificates (Original and Apostille, copy of each one translated into Spanish).
Valid Passports.
Tourist Card (provided by customs upon your arrival at Cancun International Airport).
Original blood tests, and Medical Certificates (to determine Blood type, H.I.V and S.T.D). Tests must be taken in Cancun.
Original and Certified copy of former spouse’s death certificate and Apostille translated in Spanish (If applicable)*
Original Divorce Decree Apostille and translated into Spanish (If applicable)*. If you have been divorced more than once, please bring with you at least the last two divorce decrees. Your divorce period must be over one year or it will not be possible to perform the civil ceremony.
Legal documentation of adoption or name change original and Apostille copy and translated into Spanish (If applicable)*
4 witnesses who must arrive three working days (Saturday and Sunday does not count, also arrival day and wedding day does not count) prior to ceremony, must be over 18 years old and must bring with them their valid passports and Tourist ID. If you have any problem getting witnesses we can provide them (an additional cost will apply).

If the Bride or Groom’s nationality is Mexican, additional documents are required. Please consult with your wedding coordinator.
An Apostille Document MUST be attached to all, Birth Certificates, Divorce Decrees, Death Certificates, Adoption and name change documents. For information on how to obtain the Apostille document, please contact the Secretary of State Office or visit www.state.gov or http://www.travel.state.gov/about/info/customer/customer_312.html.
If the Bride or Groom’s nationality is Canadian, an Authentication Document (not an Apostille) must be attached to all Birth Certificates, Divorce Decrees, Death Certificates, Adoption and name change documents. For information on how to legalize all documents, please contact the Embassy of Mexico in Canada or visit http://www.sre.gob.mx/canadaingles/.
Please note that Birth Certificates, Divorce Decrees, Apostille documents, Death Certificates, Adoption and name change documents MUST be translated into Spanish by a certified translator and notarized from your country.
It is very important that you verify that the name on your Tourist ID, Passport, divorce decree, or birth certificates MUST all be exactly the same. If not, please contact us.
If any of the documents are missing, the ceremony will be cancelled. There are not exceptions from the Local Register. All documents become property of the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico. For all types of ceremonies.

Home address and occupation form for the Bride & Groom (ask your wedding coordinator for the appropriate form).
Couples must make arrangements at least six months prior to the date of marriage and meet all sacramental requirements. Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion certificates are required for both the bride and groom.
A certificate/form confirming that the bride and groom has never been married before issued by your church in your home city.
Blood tests
Notarized copy of your marriage certificate (legal marriage)

Four witnesses (two for the bride and two for the groom)
ID’s for all the witnesses
(Prenuptial speeches are given the first two weekends of each month and must be taken here in Mexico. Ask your wedding coordinator for the name of the church you must attend.)
Payment Policy for Mayan and Catholic weddings: A 50% deposit towards the complete package is required 14 days after confirmation is received. Final payment is due 3 days prior to ceremony. A cancellation penalty of $300.00 will apply to all wedding packages if reservation is cancelled within 60 days of wedding date.

Policies
All prices and requirements are subject to change without notice. Prices are provided in U.S. Dollars. Taxes and accommodations are not included in package prices. All paid Wedding Packages and additional services are commissionable to travel agents. All services will be provided by the hotel – outside vendors are not allowed. We recommend you reserve your services in advance. Guests not staying at Oasis Resorts that are attending the ceremony and wedding dinner are required to purchase a Wedding Day pass (the price is 50% of the regular day pass cost plus the cost for the private function, per person, from the Oasis Resort where the wedding will be celebrated). Payments should be made through deposits in the bank account corresponding to the Oasis Resort where you will be celebrating the ceremony.
